The importance of Poop...

Through out my life I've never thought of, waited for, worried about poop as much as I am doing for the past 11 weeks.
Oh, the joy of being regular!!! Noah is having some difficulty with poo frequency. He pretty much goes every three days. In the meantime he releases gas so loud like he is a grown man that just ate a bunch of spicy hot dogs!
Man does it smell...
But he doesn't seem to be uncomfortable. He was having some major gas issues so I ended up buying "Happy Baby" Gripe Water. It helps him. He calms down within five minutes and is good for hours.
I switched his bottles to Playtex Ventaire and I recommend them to anyone that has a gassy baby. Since switching him he literally has no gas pains. But the poo still arrives once in three days.
Now enough about poop.
Noah is doing amazingly! I have been so sick for the past week and I am coughing, sniffling, sneezing I have a horrible headache and sore throat and by all symptoms it's either a cold or a flu.
Luckily he didn't get it .
:) Mommy's milk is doing wonders :)
He also started sleeping through out the night. He falls asleep at 11.45 and wakes up at 6.45 eats and continues sleeping for another 3 hours. At 9.45 he eats again, gets a fresh diaper and plays a bit with me and DH after which he naps again! He loves to sleep.
As far as feeding goes, he is really good there as well.
He breastfeeds every 3-4 hours and at night before bedtime he gets a bottle of Enfamil Premium anywhere between 4 and 6 ounces.
I'm so grateful to God that he gave me a healthy child...

Yesterday was crazy...

Yesterday was super crazy.
We took Noah out for a walk that turned into a shopping trip. I dragged him around the stores for hours and he was fine. Perfectly relaxed, sleeping in his carseat.
Well then I pushed.
I made reservations for dinner, so after shopping we took him out. Needless to say that he wasn't thrilled.
He was happy in the waiting area but he became very fussy once we sat down. So out of respect to other guests we asked to have our dinner to go. There was no other way. I tried everything possible including *gasp* nursing in public. But to no avail.
Once I took him out to the bar area he calmed down instantly.
He likes bars! Well who doesn't?
He liked that the lights were dimmed, music was louder than usual and the room was full of people.
We brought him home and he fell asleep after a diaper change and a long session of nursing. He slept for 6 hours without waking up.
But he woke up with a cold. He was coughing, sneezing and he had a runny nose.
After a hot bath all of those went away, I hope they wont come back.
Right now he is sleeping and I think I'm gonna take a nap as well :)

My sweetie is 8 years old today!!!

My niece, Neira, turned eight today. I wish I could be with her on this and every other birthday, but I know that's not possible. She lives in Mostar, together with my sister and her husband. I miss them all the time, but especially today.
Every time her birthday rolls around I start thinking of all the things I've missed.
I wasn't there when she was born, when she started crawling, talking, walking... And I know that my sister won't be here to see Noah do all that.
It's sad.
But life is that way, you just have to "keep swimming."
I asked what she wants for her birthday and she said she wants to see Noah before he gets big.
How sweet is that????
Noah is too small to travel this year, but we are planning to go visit them next year.
On another note, I had my tooth extracted today. I just came back from my awesome dentist/friend Lara.
She did a good job. The only thing is that tooth extractions suck and mine is no exception. I hate the feeling of blood in my mouth, but it doesn't hurt.
Noah is sleeping right now.
We are at my parents house and he loves playing with grandpa. He is such a cute little boy.
I'll post his picture a little bit later.

What do you name your blog?

That is the question I was asking myself today.
If I start writing a blog, will I commit to it? Will I have anything to write about? What would I name my blog?
The answer to all the questions I got from the new love of my life, my 2 month old baby boy: Noah.
I could write about him, talk about him and think about him all the time and I admit, I am that kind of mom I will show everyone his pictures because I think he is the sweetest, handsomest and happiest baby in the world.
So while I was pondering my entrance to the blog world I heard a "goo" from the play-pen where my 9 week old sunshine was happily sleeping.
As I looked down on him, I saw the answer to all my questions as well as a name for my blog...
